Web Sites from £125?
Yes but......
We may have anticipated your questions. If so, you will find answers below. If we haven't and you have another question, you can get in touch using the form below, or email us on: webmaster@darkhorsetechnologies.co.ukQuestion: Do I really get a web site for £125?
Answer: Yes, you get a working web page similar to the sample you choose, with your details and pictures if required. Alternatively, we can choose a design for you, based on the information you give us about your business. The web page is hosted by us and published under our company web space. For example, your web page may be found at the address: www.darkhorsetechnologies.co.uk/johnsplumbingThe fixed price deal is limited to one page, but all our designs are properly validated, which means it is easy to add further pages and menus to access them in the future, or for yourself, or another designer to edit and expand them.
Question: Do I need to pay for public web space?
Answer: No, this is covered in the price. For £125 your web page will be made available to anyone who has a PC connected to the internet under our company web space. We use a popular professional Internet Services Provider who can guarantee exceptional service and availability. There is nothing else to pay for the first year. After the first year, if you want to continue using the web page, the annual fee of £25 becomes due. You can of course, move your web page to your own web space at any time. You have no obligation to continue with our services.Question: What if I want my company name to be the address for the web page?
Answer: If you do not want our company name (www.darkhorsetechnologies.co.uk) to be part of the address for your web page, you can purchase a 'domain'. This costs around £12-20 for registration and depends on your chosen domain name being available. We can look into this for you and advise you of the availability and cost of a domain name or suggest an alternative.Question: Do I need to register a domain at all?
Answer: If you can add the link to your web page to an online directory for example, so your customers just need to click on one link, there is no need to register a domain name. If you are looking to extend your web presence and use it as a major part of a business advertising campaign, it may be better to have your own domain name as it is easier for customers to remember where to find your web site.Question: How will customers find my web page?
Answer: The best way for customers to find your web page is for you tell them! You may want to use the launch of a web page as a reason to contact your customers and prompt them to consider your products and services again. If you are listed in an online directory, such as www.nottinghamonline.com, you can enter the address of your website so potential customers can see where you are and what you offer with one click. This gives your business an advantage over those who do not have a web page, as customers have more information to help them choose your products and services over any one else's.Question: If you use the same samples, won't my website look like everyone else's?
Answer: No, the samples are used once then removed from view. We may reuse popular layouts, but with literally millions of colours, images and combinations available we can ensure your site is unique to you.I have another question:
